Beyond the fictional worlds she creates, L. B. Anne has a deeply personal story to share. In 2025, she faced one of the most challenging seasons of her life when she was diagnosed with head and neck cancer. What followed was a journey through treatment, uncertainty, healing, and a deeper dependence on God.

Her faith became an anchor as she navigated the physical and emotional challenges of cancer, sought answers, and learned to advocate for her own health. That experience inspired her faith-based memoir, Leave a Light On in Heaven, in which she shares an honest account of her cancer journey, the Scriptures and prayers that sustained her, and the hope she found in God's presence through the darkest days.

Written for those facing cancer, supporting a loved one, or searching for encouragement in their own difficult season, her memoir is a reminder that even when the path ahead is uncertain, faith can illuminate the way forward.
